Witches deploy 500 members to Abuja for president Jonathan’s inauguration

The Witches and Wizards Association of Nigeria (WITZAN), has deployed 500 witches to Abuja and other parts of Ahead of Nigeria to prevent any tragic occurrence and ensure peaceful inauguration on May 29.

According to its national co-ordinator, Dr Okhue Iboi, the decision was taken after an emergency meeting at Zuma rock, Niger State. WITZAN also warned President Goodluck Jonathan to take adequate security as bad people and disgruntled politicians are planning to cause problems.

Iboi, however, disclosed that the nation would soon have a respite from the people currently throwing bombs all over the places as they would be exposed: “We are going to expose those sponsoring bomb blasts in the country after May 29. They have been caged already. We are going to use our power to cause them to come out and confess their misdeeds. Nigerians would be surprised at how the saboteurs would be exposed.”

He said it was revealed to the witches as far back as last year that no other candidate except Jonathan would rule the nation. The association which also predicted the failure of both former military president Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida and vice president Atiku Abubakar in their presidential quests also disclosed that Jonathan would serve his four-year tenure at the end of which Nigerians would be begging him to go for another term because he has been chosen by God to lead the nation.

Iboi, however, warned Jonathan to beware of sycophants, while warning the incoming ministers and advisers to co-operate with the president and discharge their duties with dedication. The witches warned former Head of State, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) to stop wasting his time pursuing the presidency:

“Buhari should stop wasting his time because his time is past. He can never rule the nation again. His time is gone.” The incoming National Assembly will deliver. This is the time Nigerians will know that they have real legislators.
“Some people look at us as if we are evil minded people. Not all witches are bad. Our own type of witchcraft is progressive. We are willing to intervene in the affairs of the country anytime the government decides to seek our counsel. We have the solutions to bring lasting peace to the country. Witches and wizards in the country are ready to help restore Nigeria’s lost glory.

“We saw June 12 crisis long before it happened and we warned the late Chief M.K.O. Abiola but he ignored us. Abiola would have been Nigeria’s president but some of us decided to punish him over the role he played in scuttling the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo presidential ambition. We warned him not to waste his time and life. This was reported in some national dailies. We also dealt with the late General Sani Abacha for the execution of the late Ken Saro-Wiwa.”

I won’t mind dating D’banj – Bolanle Okhiria, winner of Koko Mansion

Sometime ago, the rumour that Bolanle Okhiria, winner of the debut edition of Koko Mansion, was dating the Koko Master, D’banj, filtered out. Nonye Ben-Nwankwo went on the trail of the ‘number one kokolet in Nigeria’ who seemed to have gone out of public glare after the show and got her to talk about her life

What have you been doing since you left Koko Mansion?

I have been pursuing my career as a presenter and a writer. I set up my own blog. I have also hosted a couple of shows. Right now, I am working on a radio show and a new TV show.

One would have expected you to be in the limelight, how come you are still in the background?

I wouldn’t say I have been laid back. I still attend events, though I am not the kind of person that would want to attend all events. I wouldn’t push it. Basically, I would say I have been taking it one step at a time.

Would you say Koko Mansion has opened doors for you?

In a couple of ways, it has. After the show, people called me up for photo sessions. I now do stuff for people. People know me more now than they did before Koko Mansion.

Why did you choose to participate in Koko Mansion?

It was kind of different from other reality shows. The show brought together women. I wanted to show the world who an ideal Nigerian lady is. I went in and I applied to be on the show. I was lucky, I won. The show is not like the regular TV shows we see.

So now you are a member of the Mo’hit family?

Automatically, I am now a member of the family. I never knew them personally before Koko Mansion. I was seeing them on TV like every other person. I love them all as entertainers.

Did you really get the prizes meant for the winner?

I did. I got my car. I was given N5m.

What did you do with the cash?

I invested my money. My family comes first in whatever I do. I also helped them to invest with some of the money. The money is still in the family. When I got out, I threw a party for my friends.

What gave you an edge over the other contestants?

I didn’t see anybody as a rival. I was just myself. As to what gave me an edge, I am not only beautiful, I am also intelligent. I am a smart woman and I will be proud to say it anywhere. I think that was what made me scale through.

Tell us about the late Chidinma, your fellow housemate in Koko Mansion…

We were kind of close. In the house, you wouldn’t get along with everybody. There were ten of us. She was part of the finalists. At some point, we got along very well. It is really sad that she died. I feel that Nigeria has lost a star. She was a bundle of talents. She was a young Nigerian who had many dreams to fulfil. She is not forgotten. I will always remember her. I had a party last year and she was the only one that showed up among the other housemates. The others couldn’t make it.

We learnt that the winner of the Koko Mansion was going to be D’banj’s girlfriend for a year?

That was true. It wasn’t as if we were supposed to be his girlfriend per se. I was meant to attend events with him. I travelled to South Africa with him when he was shooting his video. I went to a couple of places with him after the show.

As his girlfriend?

No. As the winner of Koko Mansion, as the number one Kokolet in Nigeria.

But would going out with D’banj be a bad idea?

No! D’banj is a very intelligent young Nigerian. It will not be a bad idea going out with him.

But has he asked you out?

He has not asked me out. I have not gone out with him and we have not dated.

Did you feel bad when people tagged you D’banj’s girlfriend?

I didn’t feel bad at all. Though in actual fact, I know I am not his girlfriend. People kept saying it, but I didn’t feel bad at all. I actually felt privileged being known as number one Kokolet. D’banj is not a bad person. He is the only artiste in Nigeria I know that is so industrious. I am happy to be attached to the Mo’hit family. I will never feel bad when referred to as D’banj’s girlfriend.

Will you accept if D’banj eventually asks you out?

Why not leave it till he asks me out. I will decide what to say when he asks me out.

Who are you close to in the Mo’hit family?

I am close to everybody. I love Dr. Sid, he is my good friend, I love K Switch, I love Prince and I love Wande Coal. I have mad love for Don Jazzy.

How have you been able to handle scandals since you hit the limelight?

I thank God I have stayed out of scandals. I will only have to thank God for that. Nothing bad has been written about me. I have faced many challenges. Even growing up as a girl has its own challenges. But I have been able to scale through.

Tell us about your boyfriend

I am not dating anybody seriously. I am still single. I am 22 years old. I think I still have time.

So, how do you cope with admirers?

I have so many admirers. I have so many of them on Twitter, Facebook and everywhere. I just get along with them. I have friends and acquaintances. Somehow, I have been able to cope with my admirers.

How was growing up?

It was fun. It had its own challenges. I am the second child in a family of five. I have three other sisters and one brother. I grew up in a Christian family. We are from Edo State. My mother is Yoruba. My parents are supportive of my career. I love my mother so much. I will do anything for her. She supported my going into the house. She was actually the one that helped me to tell my dad because I didn’t know how I was going to tell him. I would even say my story of winning Koko Mansion is the case of the ‘last shall be the first.’ After the audition, I knew I did well. I thought I was going to be picked to go into the house. I learnt they had started calling some people but nobody called me. I lost hope. But a day before we entered the house, they called me. I eventually found out that one of the girls, after the medical tests that we did, was pregnant. I had to replace her. See, I wasn’t even picked in the first place. If the girl hadn’t been pregnant, I wouldn’t have been a part of Koko Mansion. So, I walked into the house and I was determined to show the world that I am good. I aimed at doing my best. I gave it my best shot. I eventually became the winner.

Do you have a dream?

I am doing advertising now. At some point in my life, I hope to be a brand manager. I want to set up my own advertising firm. I want to be a presenter and take the job to another level. I hope to settle down some day and have some kids.

EXCLUSIVE: GTB BOSS, TAYO ADERINOKUN, RUMOURED DEAD IN UK HOSPITAL

Altough, it has not been affirmed yet by any concrete authority, there are indications that the managing director of one of the viable financial institutions in Africa, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), Tayo Aderinokun, has succumbed to death following news of his sliding into coma in a London hospital many months back.

Femi Adeniran, who is the Corporate Affairs manager of the bank, told Nigeriafilms.com three weeks ago during a phone interaction, that he would not directly speak on the issue but referred this site to a Nigeria based financial newspaper for comprehensive details.

Aderinokun’s long-term illness, his subsequent movement to a UK hospital and reported demise, we learnt, were a hush-hush subject in the public domain including among members of the bank’s management.

Since the report of his slipping into unconsciousness, the GTB’s chains of command have reportedly been in turmoil, as top echelons of the bank became confused over who replaces Aderinokun, despite the fact that his supposed death was yet to be made public.

We were promised further furnishing of any related reports by Femi Adeniran, if available.

Toni Payne’s messy fight with restaurant owner

• She is after my life

• He is a fraudster

• The ID Cabassa angle

Just after the May Day break, an anonymous caller contacted E-Centre. In the text message, the person claimed that his life was under threat. The alarm was almost discarded, since this is an entertainment column and not for crime or human angle stories. While trying to quickly glance through the remaining portions of the text before deleting it, the Name Toni Payne showed up.

As you may already know, Toni Payne is the estranged wife of popular musician, Abolore Akande, generally known as 9ice. In fact, she is still the legal wife since they are yet to be dissolved by any court. Toni Payne is also a relevant name in the entertainment and fashion industries. She is an artiste promoter and manager. She also has franchise to various cosmetic products.

The text immediately got a priority status. On reaching the owner of the number, a whole lot was revealed to the E-Centre. The sender of the text message, one Mr. Tobiloba Ogunleye claimed that his life was in grave danger, and that the person after him was no other than Toni Payne.

Mr. Tobiloba is an established caterer in Osun State. He owns two restaurants. He co-owns the 5Vers restaurant in the University of Ife and solely owns Plate Fillers in Okuku also in Osun State. So ,what could he have done to claim that his life was threatened by Toni Payne? According to him, he was assisting a friend, Ademola Ajibola of Moreklue Entertainment, an events organising company to secure the services of Olamide, an artiste under the management of Toni Payne.

He claimed that after getting Olamide to Ife, where the artiste was meant to perform, Toni Payne did not accept the money they offered and wanted more. He said that the business got awry and Toni Payne and her aides went all out to manhandle Mr Ademola, while he fled. Ever since, he said, he had been receiving threat mails and text messages from Toni Payne.

A source close to Toni Payne told Entertainment Centre that she sees the issue from another angle. The source confirmed that they did have dealings with both Tobi and Ademola, but added that it was not as Tobi reported it. The source said that in fact, Tobi is a fraudster who had deceived both Toni Payne and the artiste.

While relaying the story as they saw it, the source said that Tobi had approached Toni Payne asking for the services of Olamide. After agreeing on the bill, they transported the artiste to Osun State by 11pm to perform at the show. On getting there, they asked Ademola, who organised the show, to pay up before Olamide would get on stage. By midnight they were still on the issue, so they decided to take the case up. He said that they got the Ademola arrested while Tobi fled. ‘The man is a thief, a scoundrel. He made us embark on a journey all the way to Ife at 11pm. Then he refused to pay. I think that is what they do. They take students’ money, and promise them that they are going to bring an artiste, at the end of the day, they will not pay the artiste his dues. We did not even want to lock Ademola up because we did not know him, it is Tobi we know. But with Ademola with us, we knew we could find Tobi. We later let Ademola go,” the source said.

But Tobi did not agree with the statement from Toni Payne’s campy. He told Entertainment Centre that he had some issues while they were bargaining. “We arrived at N200,000 for the performance and we were ready to pay.” Tobi said that he was still receiving threat calls from both Toni Payne and her aides. ‘I can show you my phone, they are just threatening me,” he said.

Tobi added: “I informed my lawyer who also made an informal report at a Police station in Ibadan. I got a call from Ademola who advised me to call Tony to clear some things which I did, but she told me that she did not need anything from me. Before then, she had threatened to deal with me with all available means and make sure I was locked up for two months. Taiwo, one of Toni’s boys approached us and slapped Ademola and broke a bottle and threatened to stab him. He could have done it but for the intervention of some friends. I was advised to leave the arena to go get money and by that time, Ademola had been bundled and taken to Lagos. He was tortured and molested all through and then taken to an area in Bariga called Ilaje. He was beaten, molested and threatened. He was denied access to us. Later, he was asked to tell them all about me so I could also be picked up, but he refused. When he was eventually released, he was forced to agree to pay N120,000 which he had to agree to, under duress. He was also told that he must call them anytime he sees me so that they could pick me up.

“Please this plea goes to all well-meaning Nigerians, the Nigerian Bar Association, the Nigerian Press and Nigerians at large to save me them. I am just a normal Nigerian with a legitimate job. She is influential and has vowed to make sure she deals with me,” Mr Tobiloba pleaded.

Somehow, a music producer, Id Cabassa seems to be involved in the whole blame game. E-Centre discovered that Id Cabassa seems to be the one trying to bring peace to both sides. The Toni payne source said that they knew Tobi, through Id Cabassa who said that he had had dealings with the business man some years back.

Mr Tobi also confirmed that Id Cabassa even helped out financially when Ademola did not have transport fare to return to Osun State.

Incidentally, Id Cabassa was also the producer who worked on most of 9ice’s hit songs.

My relationship with MI -Waje

It was the talk of the town when news filtered in that there is more to it than meets the eye in what transpires between the rising songstress, Waje, and self-acclaimed Africa’s rapper number one, MI. This feeling was further fuelled when a song by MI, One Naira, leaked to the internet. Most music lovers fell in love with the song because of the lyrics, melody coupled with the sweet voice of Waje on the chorus.

The chemistry had so much effect that many people began to insinuate that probably MI and Waje are lovers. But speaking for the first time on the news milling around about MI and her, Waje said: “Saying that I’m dating MI is just like saying that I’m dating P-square. I featured on their song, Do Me, which turned out to be a hit, and they are producing my album. “What is happening between MI and I is pretty much the same. I featured in his song and he’s also producing some songs for my coming album. What we have is a great working relationship. That’s all. I’m just happy with the outcome and acceptance that stemmed from working with these wonderful guys”.

While Waje seems unperturbed about the rumour, the musical video of her new hit single titled So Inspired is currently burning the music charts across the country. Waje’s So Inspired is for young people, most especially the females, to continuously aspire for greatness regardless of the drawbacks in their environment and life in general. In the video that was shot and directed by the ace videographer Clarence Peters in Johannesburg, South Africa, Waje connects with the oppressed woman. She plays the role of a distressed and abused female who would not give up on herself. Moreover, Waje is currently performing all over Nigeria and abroad, spreading message of love, courage and at the same time tidying up the production of her long anticipated debut album titled W.A.J.E (Words Aren’t Just Enough) which is due for release in June.

5 Celebrities Who Don’t Get It Right On The Red Carpet

Muma Gee: In a bid to look dramatic and different, energetic singer and entertainer Muma Gee, often misses the mark on and off the red carpet. It appears she is used to the stage makeup. Oftentimes, her makeup appears too heavy on her and her dramatic designs don’t always suit the event. Don’t you think?

Kenny Saint Brown: Gospel musician KSB, doesn’t seem to get it right most times on the red carpet with her choice of styles, fabrics and over made up face! A good stylist will definitely help to bring out the best in her striking features, so that she can really know what fits her.

Abolore Akande (9ice): The star singer-songwriter is very versatile in his use of well-chosen lyrics laced with deep African lore and lingo. But his dress sense is quite the opposite! Most times 9ice’s appearance on the red carpet is usually boring and dull without any elegance or energy. Although he has a new hair look now, he should wear more vibrant colours, stylish outfits and be more suave. He sure can get it right if he puts in more effort…

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde: Omosexy as fondly called, has an hourglass shape that accentuates her body perfectly well. This beautiful mother of four and talented actress who can deliver her lines perfectly well, has not been able to deliver her dress sense very well in recent times. Most times, her fabrics are not well chosen to flatter her figure, such that, they cling to her tummy and make her bulge appear bigger than it actually is. Then how many times do you come across a superstar actress whose makeup is not flawlessly applied?

Mercy Johnson: Nollywood star actress Mercy Johnson has found a new love for skimpy attires and deliberate flaunting of her boobs in movies and on the red carpets. Blessed with the right curves at the right places, Mercy has chosen a dress code of skimpy and over revealing dresses, which many frown at on the red carpets. Most times, she doesn’t get the appropriate looks and her makeup too. Yuck!

Chiddy Bang is an American alternative hip-hop band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The duo who met in 2008 are yet to release their debut work but have gained recognition with the release of various mixtapes.
