Criminal of the Day

The Senate just passed Immigration Reform, but it was too late for 47-year-old Mai Nhu Nguyen. Mai worked in the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office in Santa Ana, California, and she was arrested recently for illegally helping immigrants get their green card applications processed faster. On Wednesday, she was indicted by a grand jury on three counts of accepting bribes. If you're wondering how much it would cost to get special attention for your green card application, prices vary widely. Mai accepted a bribe of $1,000 cash, a bribe of $2,200 cash, and a bribe of 200 EGG ROLLS.
