Jimmy JATT Moves Into New Lekki Home

Africa’s most celebrated Disc Jockey, DJ Jimmy JATT has moved again. The itinerant DJ, who continues to bring pride and prestige to the profession, has left his Surulere home, to take residence in a massive property in Lekki phase 1, Lagos State.

AMEBO sources say JATT’s new home has more than 10 rooms and a BQ section which will be used as a staff quarters to house his workers.

DJ Jimmy Jatt is considered to be one of the most respected DJs in Nigeria with a bag of awards and a compilation album to his name.

Before moving to Surulere, where he stayed in two different houses at different times, Jimmy lived in Obalende, on Lagos Island where his studio (on Odo Street) was a Mecca of sorts to music fans, wannabe acts and star musicians.

He’s come a long way from the unsure hip-hop enthusiast who wanted to be a rapper; before succumbing to the lure of the turntables. Not only has he earned himself fame and considerable fortune; he’s also earned the profession respect and relevance, in a society that used to treat DJs as never-do-wells.
