BISHOP OYEDEPO DISGRACES D'BANJ INSIDE CHURCH AUDITORIUM

The man of God at Living Faith Church worldwide also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop Oyedepo did not get carried away with all the blings and swags of Mohits star,Dapo Oyebanji popularly known as D’banj when they came in contact.

We learnt that D’banj was recently contacted to perform at a Youth Programme in Covenant University where the Bishop was also a special guest of honour.

Those present at the event said when D’banj was introduced by MC to mount the stage for his performance, D’banj appeared on stage in his normal bling-bling mode of dressing and when he was introducing his song, the highly respected Bishop Oyedepo stopped him.

According to eye witness account, we were told that the Bishop’s gesture took everyone by surprise when he ordered the ‘Fall in Love’ crooner to stop his performance.

It was learnt that the Bishop while trying to maintain the good standard of Christianity, told D’banj to remove the entire bling on his neck and to be cautious of what he’d say on stage.

Although some of the people who were there told us Bishop Oyedepo uttered the warning to D’banj jokingly, however, not a few maintained that he meant every word he said concerning the star musician.

Pretty 26yr old Motunrayo Agbara's corpse was discovered hanging from the ceiling of her sister’s residence on Allen Avenue on Monday July 18, 2011.

Late Motunrayo had an operation last year that affected her uterus (Cyst), her womb was removed, so that contributed to her depression, which she complained a lot about and even attempted to kill herself last year but was rescued. Guess she succeeded this time around. So sad!

She finished from Queens College in 2001, was a graduate of Economics, University of Lagos and an ex-employee of Access Bank. She was buried yesterday Tuesday 19th of July at Vaults and Garden Cemetery, Ikoyi. May her soul rest in peace...amen.

Flood Wrecks D'BANJ, WEIRD MC's Nmultimillions Lagos Property!

The Nigeria Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research said the 264-millimetre rainfall recorded in Lagos is the volume expected for one full month. Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NIMET) earlier in the year predicted that rainfall this year would be more in the South, putting the volume at between 1200 and 2700mm as against 300 and 1100mm in the north. In spite of this announcement by Lagos State Government, Lagosians were very reluctant to believe this until Sunday, July 10,2011 that flood took over Lagos in a ransom for 17 hours.

Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo's newly opened apartment has been reportedly wrecked by flood.
The flood that took Lagos State to ransom penultimate Sunday sneaked into the Koko Master's building at Lekki. Don Jazzy and D'Banj could not believe what their eyes saw on that day.

Meanwhile, picture of the house on twitter, showing Don Jazzy at the sitting room made lots of followers to persistently ask what really went wrong to the Mo Hits executives. But to no avail is the answer. Both didn't respond till now, Global Excellence gathered. The Koko Master, we learnt was advised not to quit his Maryland apartment due to constant floods related to Lekki Penusilla's axis. But only to be pressurized by what is happening in Nigerian entertainment industry currently as most celebrities are relocating to the Island.

The heavy down pour on Sunday, July 10, 2011 has come and gone, but the havoc it caused is still fresh in the minds of people, especially the victims that were affected one way or the other. It would be recalled that some people lost their property, houses, valuables, cars and the most tragic incident was the loss of lives.

Also affected was Africa's lady of hip hop, Adesola Adesimbo Idowu otherwise known as Weird MC. Her Victoria Island rented apartment home was also touched by the heavy downpour, to the extent that this Nigeria rapper, songwriter and a producer known for her catchy English/Yoruba lyrics regretted spending millions of naira on rented apartment in such area rather than buying a house in developing community in Lagos State.

CONTROVERSY TRAILS MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN NIGERIA 2011

There have been very serious allegations, hanging over the recently concluded Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria.

These reactions became so prominent after Anambra state born Sylvia Nduka who represented Taraba state emerged the winner.

It was discovered by those who were observant at the live show that almost all the girls who were shortlisted for this year’s competition scored lower than 50 percent in spoken English.

In fact, one of the hottest stories in town right now is that all the 34 girls knew how to do one thing and that was ‘murdering of the English Language.

Eventually Miss Taraba, Sylvia Nduka, an accounting student of University of Lagos was chosen.

When Guy Murray-Bruce asked her how she feels winning the MBGN, She answered thus;” I feel exciting and happiness.”

The organizers have since dismissed the mistake as normal saying that the new queen was caught by the excitement.

According to them, Sylvia deserved her crown as judgement begins the moment the girls entered the camp. Character in the camp, personality and ability to adapt to grooming they told us, accounted for 70 percent of the score while the judges at the venue only had 30 percent of the mark to dispense.

According to them, it was not possible for the judges to evaluate the 34 girls by merely looking at them from seats in under 2 hours. Again they insisted “the judges were also taking into consideration the emotions of a hired crowd which was not the best criterion to arrive at the choice of a real queen”.

Silverbird our source said, however accept that there was a judgement of error in the emergence of Sylvia because the judges were not informed that their job accounted for only 30 percent of the score; neither was the crowd nor the contestants.

Trouble however started when “Miss Lagos” who had the largest crowd followership emerged “Miss Ecowas” or fourth runner up, and declared that she was cheated.

According to her, she got less than what she expected.

Before then, one of the judges was alleged to have posted on his facebook page, that silverbird crowned the wrong queen from the one they chose.

But outside Silverbird group defending their choice, some of the judges have risen in defense of the new queen. Actress Susan Peters, who was a judge at the event, dismissed the claim that anyone was cheated.

According to her, it was only for those who lost to feel that way.

MUSICIAN TIMAYA JILTS ABUJA LOVER OVER LOSS OF PREGNANCY

While some stars try so hard to stay away from controversies, some are busy swimming in it. One of the people in the latter group is Timaya, the self acclaimed Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa.

The crooner who many thought was warming up to settle down following his controversial breakup with actress Empress Njamah sometime last year, has this time given birth to another controversial surprise.

Just recently, rumour swirled round the industry about Timaya’s romance with an alleged Abuja lover who it was said is pregnant for him.

According to the report, Timaya was full of joy when the news reached him and even started spreading the good news as an expectant father. He even declared his intention to allegedly marry the lover.

An impeccable source informed us that the plantain boy, as Timaya is fondly called, recently dumped the girl.

According to the source, his reason is that she lost the pregnancy few weeks after. And Timaya,we learnt, got furious about the whole thing, referring to her as bad luck for allegedly losing his first baby.

We also learnt that the message sent to Timaya on his Blackberry messenger was the result of the pregnancy scan that revealed the baby’s identity as a boy, which was the real reason he allegedly asked her to keep the pregnancy.

Current investigation revealed that ever since this occurrence, Timaya has ceased to have anything to do with her

Ruggedman, 9ice Fight Again

The acrimony between two leading musicians, Michael Ugochukwu, a.k.a Ruggedman and Akande Abolore also known as 9ice, has taken a turn for the worse, with Ruggedman boasting that “9ice is my boy. He met his wife through me.”

9ice’s estranged wife, Toni Payne, is at the centre of the strained relationship between the erstwhile best friends.

Just as the acrimony between Ruggedman and 9ice was ebbing, the former again stirred the hornet’s nest in a new Yomba TV programme called Gbamu Gbanu.

Speaking in Yoruba language on a television programme Gbamu Gbamu, which will hit the screens on African Magic Yoruba on DSTV by 1 July 2011, Ruggedman said that 9ice had his first major break when he brought him on stage at a Nigerian Breweries show held at Mothelan’, Opebi, Ikeja. about six years ago.

He said that at the show, he introduced Toni Pyne to him and that was how they started, adding, “I don’t know that it is a crime to introduce someone to a woman. I wouldn’t have done that.”

Ruggedy Baba, as Ruggedman is also called by friends and fans, said when the story was making the rounds, he was waiting for 9ice to debunk it and since he failed to do so, he decided to state his own side, declaring, “he is a boy I trained by taking him to shows and that was what gave birth to the song, Opomulero.”

Gbenga Adeyinka, the brain behind the television programme, a top comedian and master of ceremonies, said Gbamu Gbamu, which has different segments like jokes, mock news and interviews, among others, is a way of bringing out his talent to show that he can also present a Yoruba programme.

He added that top comedians like Ali Baba, Omo Baba, Tee A and others will feature in the weekly programme.

Those that follow me on twitter knows that I love calling my friends on twitter romantic names like honey, sweetheart, darling etc.I guess that is what people saw about some of my tweets to Whiz kid and started speculating that we are dating. There is nothing of such.

EXCLUSIVE;THE DIRTY THINGS NOLLYWOOD ACTRESSES DO FOR MONEY

The notion of most Nollywood actresses is that the meager they receive from acting would not give them the high standard of living they crave for, hence they engaged in corporate prostitution.

It has become very rampant in recent time that most of our so called popular faces engage in corporate prostitution.

According to sources, the messy deal is carried out both locally and internationally as those who get involved have people who hook them up locally in various states of the federation and internationally by publicists and managers.

Local charges, we gathered, depends on the class of the actress and the buyer’s financial capability, as we learnt that the fees range from #150,000 to #200,000 thousand per round of sex, while politicians pay as much as #500,000 per night to top actresses and go as far as giving them jeeps and other cars for one month of service.

We equally gathered that months of dating and warming the bed of top politicians have earned most of Nollywood big babes’ properties in different parts of the country. Another avenue is created through political conferences which have over the years been alleged to witness an influx of Nollywood gorgeous babes who always land juicy appointments to make the night cold-free. It was informed that the pay they usually go home with from the political conferences depends on the ability of the girl to play her game perfectly, as contracts and proposals are eventually signed the following day.

A source disclosed to us that lots of fast rising actresses hustle to get the contact of state Governors whom they call to get appointments either for one night deal or for a full weekend. But the business does not pay all the time. We were told of a very controversial fast rising actress who struggled to get the contact of a South South Governor. After weeks of unanswered phone calls, the number one man of the oil rich state picked the call and gave the actress an appointment. She allegedly traveled by air from Lagos state to the state capital, spent a full weekend with the Governor and came back empty handed. The story was so funny that the actress was said to have only gotten the privilege of riding in a Governor’s convoy for the very first time in her life.

It was equally disclosed that this derogatory business is equally done on the international scene. We gathered that our intelligent showbiz babes reportedly lower their guards during their foreign trips. It was said that for those who engage in this act, contacts are usually dropped with United Kingdom, US and Canada based Nigerians who hide under the umbrella of artiste managers and publicists but who are, in actual fact, engaged in the pimping business.

We equally discovered that the so called management companies strike such deal with foreigners, invite the girls to come over on purported tours or to perform in shows only to hand them over to randy men who pay them handsomely.

It was alleged that global chat engines such as Twitter and Face book have provided good platforms for numerous “RUNS BABES” in the showbiz industry to meets foreign based prospects and customers and these ones negotiate their arrangements themselves without any middleman and on such ‘deals’ they get whatever they can negotiate.

We even gathered how a top married actress once jetted to Europe to have a week’s tryst with a top Nigerian footballer and was paid 3 million naira by the younger player.

Another A-list star actress was reported of being invited by a syndicate to Europe with the promise of getting 10,000 thousand dollars but when she got there, she met the shock of her life as the the so called international business men were five fast Nigerian boys who locked her up in an apartment and gang raped continuously for 10 days before releasing her. She was stranded and was only rescued by a former Nigerian journalist who now lives in London who paid her way back to the country.

Watch out for the full list of some of the actresses involved in this shameful act.

Another chance for Kel

ut with a club banger, Wa wa Alright, a few years ago and suddenly found space in the hit makers list, but it was just for a little while.

Her name was almost deleted thereafter as the sultry singer, who was always in one controversy or the other, didn’t follow up on her success in music as many had expected. A lot of people felt Kel had nothing else to offer.

However, the pretty singer is set to change that perception, and perhaps, she might get lucky again and find a place in the A-list category of artistes.

M.et.al Entertainment is ready to roll out the drums for Kel following her departure from her former label, Capital Hill Music, where she released her debut album, The Investment, which had her hit single, Wa Wa Alright.

Anyway, it wasn’t as if her hiatus was really a waste. Let’s not forget that the singer, during this break, became a Soulmate hair products brand ambassador, a deal which we heard fetched her some cool dough.

After all the criticisms, troubles and scandals, Kelechi is not throwing in the towel just yet. She and her M.et.al camp have released materials that have introduced a new dimension to her brand. With her new singles, Super Woman featuring Lami, Shayo & Move and Mu Kulu, the rapper just might get it right again
